the 13th pacific structural steel conference was held in chengdu, china
the 13th pacific structural steel conference (pssc2022) was held in chengdu, china on october 27-30th, 2023. the pacific structural steel conference is a global event in the field of steel structures, providing a high-end platform for steel structure colleagues from all over the world to exchange relevant technological achievements. more than 900 participants from 13 countries attended the event.
pacific council of structural steel associations (pcssa) meeting was held in chengdu on october 27th, 2023. representatives and invited guests from china, japan, south korea, singapore, malaysia, indonesia, canada, australia, new zealand, and the netherlands attended the meeting. li qingwei, secretary general of china steel construction society, introduced the preparations for the 13th pacific structural steel conference on behalf of the organizing committee. the council discussed and voted korea (kssc) as the host state of pssc2025.
a total of 173 academic papers were collected and admitted to pssc2022, covering 10 topics including high-rise, large-span, and spatial structures, new type composite structures, high-performance steel, metal structures and assembled structural steel buildings, etc. 17 keynote presentations and 105 sub-sessions presentations from 13 countries were delivered during the conference. they have fully exchanged the latest research results of the steel structure industry, discussed cutting-edge technologies in the industry, and looked forward to the development direction of the industry.
during the conference, bilateral talks between cscs and jssc, cscs and kssc were also held. they further strengthen cooperation and traditional friendship between china, japan, and korea in the steel structure industry.
the closing ceremony of pssc2022 was held on october 29th, 2023. mr. cheol ho lee, president of the korean society of steel construction, took over the flag of the pacific structural steel conference from mr. yue qingrui, president of the china steel structure association.
